Movie Make-out

Not that anyone’s really asking that question, but what the “Muscles from Brussels” has been up to is starring in a mockumentary action/comedy pic called JCVD which has racked up some really good reviews from Cannes, will kick off the Midnight Madness programming for the Toronto Film Festival on September 4, and just got picked up by Peace Arch Home Entertainment for distribution in the U.S. (Source: The Circuit @ Variety).

Of course, there’s no word as to when the film will be released and to exactly which indie markets, but since it has been compared favorably to Being John Malkovich and the trailer’s pretty damn funny — which itself takes a very meta look at the concept for the entire film — I think it might be worth a look.

(A trailer has been online for a while now, and it is pretty fucking funny. It also gives you a better impression of the scope of the film, I’m guessing. There’s a lot going on in it. — gm)
